      Hallo,

i have the QK-A028 AIS Receiver and the QK-AS03 Protocol Bridge.
      The Problem:
I want to connect the Simrad RS82 VHF radio to the nmea183 output from the QK-A028 to get the GPS signal from QK-A028 to my Radio.
On my Radio there is a connection with nmea0183 in + – (with 4800 baud)
The connection doesn´t work, there are no GPS signals send to the Radio from the AIS Receiver.
So i bought the QK-AS03 Protocol Bridge try to connect to my Radio.
There are so much cables on the QK-AS03…….and no one will work.
Power is on black and red, how can I send the GPS signal via the QK-AS03 to my Radio ?
I try nmea out +- to VHF no signal
rx tx out to vhf no signal
nmea blue an brown cable is always on QK-A028 connected to nmea in +- on QK-AS03

      What is wrong ?

        Hi Etoile,

Thanks for your information. You’d better to contact us before ordering the protocol bridge. Your issue isn’t related to the protocol bridge.

You probably know that AIS messages have to be runing at 38400bps, not 4800. So the NMEA output of A028 has been fixed setting as 34800bps. If your vhf radio can only accept 4800, I believe you need a NMEA buffer.

I am sorry for this. If you don’t want to keep the protocol bridge, you can contact our customer department to return it.
