      Hi,

I have connected a Autohelm ST50 Tridata instrument to the A027. I cut the SeaTalk cable and used only the yellow data cable to connect to the A027.

Then I wired +/- from the fuse board via a on/off knob. Is this an incorrect setup?

It worked a couple of times, but now the Autohelm is displaying “CODE SET/SET CODE” as if it has been reset and I don’t know the code.

      Kind regards,

      Kjetil

        Hi Kjetil,

No you should get the same power source from Seatalk. Otherwise you will get the warning messages.

I tried connecting the power wires from the Seatalk cable coming out of the Autohelm ST50 to the A027 – but this did not help, the ST50 is still in lock mode.

Do I need to reverse the wiring?

Why do I need to connect the +/- wires on the SeaTalk cable to the A027 instead of just connecting as I did?

I have a ST50 Wind instrument connected to the Tridata and it is still transmitting data through to the A027. So it is just the Tridata that has gone into Anti-Theft mode. It worked the first few times as well, transmitting speed data.

Fixed the SET CODE problem by sending the Autohelm unit to Raymarine.

Now I have connected the one yellow SeaTalk cable to the A027 again, and everything works. Power wires from ST50 left out, A027 powered on a separate circuit.
