ordered the QK-A051T couple of weeks ago and installed it. It worked fine and even on marinetraffic.com we were listed within a couple of hours. Now we took a break for two weeks, return to the boat – same setup – and now the TX light does not blink anymore. Reception ist excellent (30 miles and further), but we asked neighboring boats to check… we are not transmitting. Checked the Config. Turned it on, turned it off. Checked the mute button. Did many reboots of the device. Transmition config is enabled. We are out of ideas? Any firmware issues known?

Thank you for the information. If the TX led light didn’t flash, then for some reason the TX module has been turned off.

Can you check if the TX led flashes four times after power up? If not, please go with the following steps.

1, Make sure the MUTE button didn’t been pushed.

2,Make sure the transmission has been enabled through configuration tool(you need connect A051 to a computer via USB port, and see ‘connected’ on the bottom of the configuration tool before checking the settings).

        Keep us updated please.

We double checked on the boat now. And the TX LED does flash four times on initial power-up. But afterwards it does not anymore.

Well, How long have you been waiting after powering up. If your boat was not move, you need wait 3 minutes to get the next TX flash(if you were moving, this is 30 seconds). Can you double check this please.

thanks for your quick reply. Apparently our neighbor just has a shitty AIS or was impatient or something. It does blink. Only that I did not know, that it blinks every 3 minutes. I thought it would flicker just as the receiver LED. I probably think this, cause when i was looking at the devices closely we have always been moving. Did not know that there is a difference.

So it should be fine. Now I will check with my neighbour personally :)

Cheers and thx a lot for the fast support.
