      Hi Quark-Elec folks,

I’m having an issue with the A32-AIS.

My Furuno GP32 (GPS) is connected properly to the A32-AIS through the NMEA183 input.

Several wifi applications are getting the information through the wifi (Lon, Lat, COS, SOG).

The only issue I have is that the NMEA2000 devices are not getting the GPS information from the NMEA2000 network.

The NMEA2000 network is wired fine since all independant NMEA2000 devices transmit data to each others (ex: Raymarine pilote, AIS)

Could it be that the A32 is not converting the NMEA183 GPS sentences to NMEA2000 PGN?

I couldn’t find a firmware update for the A032-AIS in your directory. Does it exist? (I could find for the A032 without AIS).

I just found in the documentation that some PGN require additional information before being sent in the NMEA183 to NMEA2000 conversion table.

I’m confused with the VTG which should be self-suffisient. COG & SOG only.

      Regards

      Yann

          I have no clue

the device is in my boat and I”m not actually sailing.

I didn’t update the firmware. Since you sent me the device I February this year, you may know the firmware that belongs to.

Is it a known problem? Do you know which firmware will solve such issue?

          thanks

The latest firmware were released in June of 2020, so it worthy to get your A032 have the latest firmware. Send an email with your S/N(at the back of the module), we can send you the firmware.

The new firmware fixed the issue when A032 connected with a high speed GPS receiver( 5hz or 10hz output). Hope it helps your application.

            Keep us updated please.
