I can confirm that my new A027 AIS works well with my older existing Raymarine C80 chartplotter. The unit powers on using a seatalk data cable coupled into the existing seatalk network. I at first had a hard time tracing my raymarine wiring to link the nmea out from the A027 but once i settled that, the AIS data displayed well. I did have to reverse the +/- wires from the A027 to the NMEA wires on the C80 NMEA cable. My C80 had a NMEA cable already connected with the end of the cable wiring hooked to nothing. I found that the -green and white wires from the old NMEA 0183 cable, are the NMEA inputs +/-. Now comes the process of running the additional wires from the helm to the device which is down below at the nav station. This forum helped , thanks.

I failed to mention that the wifi also works well with my ipad mini using the iNavX app. You have to be wifi connected to the A027 first. Then you need to go in the app settings TCP/IP NMEA Client and set the app to TCP connection and use the host IP which for mine was 192.168.1.101 and also set the port to 2000. I couldn’t get it to work until I set the port to 2000. :D
