Hi,

We have connected an A024 to our C70 in our lab, which is very similar to the C80. We have the following observations:

– The NMEA0183 connection works if the A024’s NMEA OUT+ is connected to the C70’s NMEA IN- and the NMEA OUT- to the NMEA IN+.

– If the C70 is not receiving GPS data, it won’t display any AIS data, so we connected an NMEA0183 GPS receiver to the A024’s NMEA input and had to wait until we got a GPS-fix.

– Both the A024’s NMEA output and the C70’s NMEA input has to be set to 38400bps.

– If there are no vessels with AIS transponders within the VHF range, the receiver will not get any AIS data.
