I have just returned from changing the baud rates and they seem to accept the changes I make using the GUI.
This, unfortunately, didn’t resolve my problem and the Raymarine Graphic gps repeater was not displaying the gps data.
I have since discovered a solution whereby I have connected my chart plotter directly to the repeater and all works fine as long as the baud rate from the plotter is set at 4800.
If I have the baud rate set at 38400 for AIS data from your A026 the repeater is blank.
I can only use one setting into/out of my plotter. It doesn’t allow me to have different baud rates for input and output.
So, what I need is a device that will step down the baud rate that will be installed between the plotter and the repeater.
Looking at the specifications of your A031 this suggests that it can accept an input of 38400 baud and step that down to the lower speed of 4800 baud.
Can you confirm that this is correct?
If not, can you suggest a suitable alternative, please?
All of this would have been much easier if my plotter had wifi, but that is not the case.
Thanks
