Are you connecting via USB? The tool does not work over WiFi (although this seems like an obvious feature it should have, for actual compatiblility with iOS, Androids, Mac, Linux, etc).

Are you certain the USB cable is good for data, and not just for USB power? Your symptoms could be explained by an incompatible cable.

I connected my A026 to an old Dell netbook last week that barely runs Windows 10. This netbook is almost unusable as a computer and the Windows installation was pristine – no extra drivers or anything. But it did run the config tool and found the A026 immediately over USB. It was very easy to reset the baud rate to match what my VHF was expecting, and the VHF GPS display sprang to life. The netbook had no internet connection at the time so whatever driver it was using to recognize the A026 was native to Win10.

If you’ve tried this with multiple computers and USB cables then I’d say you’ve identified the A026 as the problem.
